We Aren't Bragging, but. ..

We are very proud to hold the First Place position of 2003 state-wide competition of Dog Training Clubs of Florida ( DOCOF). DOCOF is a competition between dog training schools and clubs located anywhere in Florida. Each school or club sends a team of 9 handlers and dogs. Each team consists of three dogs and handlers at each level of obediece - novice, open and utlity. The scores of each dog are added together, and the highest scoring team wins. Every Labor Day weekend all the participating clubs and schools in Florida meet in Orlando to compete and have fun. There are usually over 40 teams from all over Florida.

Unfortunately, due to Hurricane Francis, the 2004 competition was cancelled. We really looked forward to the 2005 DOCOF trial and came in 10th position. The 2006 trial wasn't our best year, but we all had a great time and learned a lot. At the 2007 competition we placed 9th out of 46 teams. We knew we'd be back in the top 10!!!

2008 was another GREAT Labor Day weekend and another GREAT DOCOF competition!! Our club worked very hard and were able to send 3 teams!!! Team 1 did a fantastic job and won 5th place!!! The 2009 DOCOF competition was dedicated to Joe Waring, our clubs president for over 10 years, whom we lost in May. We brought home 7th place.
